Time Management
While there is no one size fits all answer, these are good general guidelines.
- Studio apartment: 10–12-foot truck
- 1-2 bedroom apartment: 15-17 foot truck
- 2-3 bedroom house: 20-26 foot truck
- 4+ bedroom house: 26+ foot truck
This is a general estimate of the size truck you will need and not having to take multiple trips can save valuable time
When to pick up your truck depends on your schedule of course, but here are some guidelines
- Picking up your truck the night before can save time on moving day. If you do rent your truck the night before, make sure to have a safe place to park the truck overnight
- If you have to pick your truck up morning of, allow yourself at least 1 hour before your movers are scheduled to arrive
